Remote River Fishing & Rafting - Aniak Alaska
OUR LOCATION
Alaska Fishing Lodges, Scenic Wildlife viewing while remote river fishing with Aniak Three Rivers Lodge in Aniak, Alaska.
We’re located 318 air miles west of Anchorage, Alaska. The lodge sets off the bank of Aniak Slough which flows into the Kuskokwim River.
Across the slough is the village of Aniak, population 500. The village is home to 2 commercial airlines that offer daily flights from Anchorage to Aniak. The flight takes approximately 1.5 hours. When you arrive in Aniak, we’ll be there to transport you and your gear to our lodge which is a short 20 minute ride.
The Aniak area consists of taiga forest that runs out into the surrounding tundra. The background of the Kuskokwim Mountains and the many small rivers and streams that flow off the large Kuskokwim River, offer a very remote, scenic appeal to our guests.
The spruce, birch and cottonwood forest is home to a variety of big game including moose, black bear, grizzly bear, caribou and wolf along with other fur bearers and waterfowl.
While traveling and fishing on the river, you might be treated to sights of a cow moose and calf swimming across the river or maybe a bear having a lunch of salmon on a gravel bar. Every day is a new adventure and you will catch a variety of fish in a truly beautiful wilderness area.
